2011  105th Anniversay Invitation

Episcopal Church of Our Saviour cordially invites you to celebrate both the 105th Anniversary of our church and the Harvest Moon Festival season:

• Church service to commemorate the 105th Anniversary of Episcopal Church of Our Saviour on Saturday September 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., in the church chapel at 1011 Harrison Street, Oakland, CA 94607. Preacher and celebrant is The Rt. Rev. Marc Handley Andrus, Episcopal Bishop, Diocese of California.  Light refreshments immediately after the service in the parish hall. (Parking is available at Star Garage, 340 – 11th St., between Webster St. and Harrison St.  $5 each space, all day).

• Scrumptious Chinese banquet to celebrate both the wonderful 105 year history of our church and Harvest Moon Festival on Saturday, September 17, 2011, at

         6:00 p.m. at Restaurant Peony, 388 9th St Suite # 288, Oakland, CA           94607-4295

The banquet will also help raise funds for Our Saviour’s outreach programs as a portion of the dinner proceeds will be allocated to Oakland Chinatown Jubilee Community Center (OCJCC) which serves the Oakland Chinatown community with after school tutoring, summer camp, ESL-English as Second Language, workshops, Chinese language, art and music classes (Children’s Choir).

The cost for the banquet is $50/person or $500/table (of ten) of which $26/person is a tax deductible donation for OCJCC, an IRS 501 (c) (3) organization.

Come enjoy the fellowship, food, and chance to win fabulous raffle prizes!  (A booklet of 10 raffle tickets is enclosed @ $2/per ticket).

If you plan on attending the church service and/or banquet, please complete the enclosed RSVP card, include your check payable to Episcopal Church of Our Saviour (for the banquet and/or raffle tickets), and send to 1011 Harrison St., Oakland, CA 94607 no later than August 31st.  Please note that we have a limit of 15-18 tables, so reserve as soon as possible to guarantee your seating at the banquet.

If you can’t make it to the events, but would like to donate to Our Saviour, please complete the card and indicate your donation amount.
